Job Summary:

Provide accurate and timely CAD drawings, documentation, and product information to support internal teams and external customers. This role ensures product specifications are properly captured, communicated, and maintained across engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing functions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and manage 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD platforms.
  • Revise and maintain all technical drawings to reflect engineering changes or manufacturing feedback.
  • Prepare specialized elevation and alignment drawings to support production (e.g., grille or architectural integration).
  • Manage digital and physical drawing file control, ensuring version accuracy and accessibility.
  • Produce assembly specification drawings and architectural trace files as required.
  • Support product questions and technical requests from customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Distribute approved and updated drawings to relevant departments and production areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design improvements, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Design Engineer or Department Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a drafting or CAS technician role
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with Inventor, SolidWorks or Revit preferred

 

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with PDM (Product Data Management) or document control systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
