Employment Type: Hourly FT

Work Environment: Mon – Friday 6am – 2:30pm

 

Job Summary:

Windsor Windows & Doors has an immediate opening for a Quality Product Specialist. This position adheres to numerous programs, processes, and procedures.  These are in place to improve Employee Training, Supplier Quality, In Process Production Quality, Finished Product Quality, and ultimately improved customer satisfaction thru overall compliance to the quality system.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Material quality inspections
  • Non-conforming material follow-up (SCAR process)
  • Final unit inspections
  • Critical to Quality inspections
  • In process inspections
  • SOP audits
  • Equipment qualification
  • Utilize various problem-solving tools to identify root cause and implement permanent solutions
  • Communicate inspection results thru standardized metrics
  • Daily communication with the production team on CPRs, 100% inspections, etc.
  • Other duties within the quality system assigned by the QA manager
  • Communication with multiple functions, including Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Production, Shipping, and Inside Sales.

 

Requirements:

  • Use of various measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, protractor, feeler gauge)
  • Computer-use of Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, Avante
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with multiple functions in a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, must be a self-starter
  • Minimum 1 year experience

 

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment, not temperature controlled.
