Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager develops and implements HR policies and oversees all human resources activities at the location, including employment, compensation, benefits, training, workers’ compensation, safety, and employee services. With guidance from the Division Human Resources Manager, this role provides leadership and direction across all areas of Human Resources, working directly and through the HR team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the Human Resources team, including training and ongoing performance support.
  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget and prepare required reports and metrics for leadership meetings.
  • Direct full cycle recruiting and onboarding processes for exempt and non-exempt positions, including postings, screening, interviewing, background checks, drug screens, and coordination with staffing agencies.
  • Manage staffing levels and workforce planning to support operational needs and employee retention.
  • Develop, implement, and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee employee relations for all shifts, including performance management, evaluations, investigations, and grievance resolution in collaboration with management.
  • Design, administer, and maintain competitive compensation and salary administration programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to promote a culture of safe production, manage workers’ compensation programs, coordinate accident investigations, and ensure OSHA and safety reporting compliance.
  • Maintain HR information systems and databases to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of workforce data, including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, benefits, FMLA leaves, evaluations, and compensation changes.
  • Plan and coordinate employee orientation, exit interviews, company events, and other employee engagement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5- 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting core HR functions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate situations, assess options, and make sound decisions.

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment, with occasional visits to manufacturing floor.

 

This position is required to be in the office at one of our designated facilities and is NOT a remote position.
