Schedule: 3 PM- 1:30 AM, Monday-Thursday

 

Summary:
The Utility Mechanic is responsible for the preventative maintenance (PM) on safety equipment and supporting production equipment to ensure efficient operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn. Experience with pneumatic tools and mechanical systems is preferred.


Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Safety First: Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures at all times.

•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and repair records.
•    Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

•    Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment according to established schedules.
•    Complete general facility maintenance, including painting, minor plumbing, and repairs to offices and structures.
•    Train to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize equipment downtime.

•    Support production teams by responding promptly to maintenance needs.


Qualifications:
•   Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

•   Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•   Safety-focused, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
•   Working knowledge of electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools.

•   Willingness to learn; training provided for advanced maintenance responsibilities.

 

Physical Demands:
•   Ability to stand, bend, and lift to 50 pounds.

•   Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, and work in various physical positions to access and repair equipment.
•   Comfortable working in different environments and temperature conditions.


Work Environment:
•    Industrial/manufacturing setting.

•    May require occasional overtime or on-call availability.

 

Travel
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations regularly.
