Starting Salary: $85,000 - $142,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary
Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

Job Summary:
The IT SAP Program Manager will be responsible for the ongoing planning and execution of large-scale technology projects across the enterprise. This includes leading the initiative on Woodgrain Integrated Now (WIN) related projects that touch multiple divisions, functional disciplines, consume significant IT resourcing, and help to promote the company's vertical integration strategy.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Govern the Woodgrain Integrated Now (WIN) project schedules, by setting schedules and priorities amongst needed groups. 

* Partner with Business Relationship Managers, the Change Management department, and others to plan pre-project activities. 

* Maintain SAP project templates and methodologies (i.e., organizational charts, WIN charter(s), budgets, statuses, bug boards, BITs, UATs, cutovers, standups, time tracking usage, and capacity planning)

* Lend visibility to the business around the program portfolio, progress, and benefit + executive presentations.

* Responsible for the WIN project RACI

* Assist in the recruiting and mentoring of Project Managers that are capable of running an ERP implementation. 

* Monitor WIN projects and mitigate risks, connect key players, hold timelines, promote IT and business engagement.

* Work with resource managers to identify short-term and long-term resourcing needs. 

* Engage in direct project management of WIN projects as needed.

* Participate in the governance of Target Process to seek continued improvements and work to refine the IT project methodology. 

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least 5 years of related experience working as a Program Manager position or in a similar position. Preference will be given to candidates with SAP experience. 

* PMP Certification is preferred, but not required. 
Previous experience with large-scale SAP/ERP implementations is required. Preference will be given to candidates with global exposure. 

* Must have strong communication skills and experience giving executive level informative style briefings. 

 

Additional Skills:

Excellent understanding of project implementation methodologies (waterfall ASAP, agile, etc.)

* Strong experience with ERP related deployments and understanding of the various IT areas that impact the process. 

* Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty around projects, must be capable of adapting to changing principles.

* Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

* Experience with applying the KISS principle (keep it simple).

* Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to operate under pressure with numerous tasks and responsibilities.

* Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex, cross-functional requirements and challenges.
Commitment to quality and achieving results that are oriented to detail and task completion. 

Effective teamwork skills, across different locations both geographically and technologically. 

*Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

 

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. 

Travel: This position does require travel to other Woodgrain locations, expected travel time is <20%.
