Starting Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary:
The IT Business Relationship Manager acts as a liason to bridge the IT organization and the business operations. This position will advocate for the business to ensure that IT solutions drive real value, meet the needs of the business in advancing their processes, and are prioritized accordinaly to ensure success of the Woodgrain organization as a whole.


Duties & Responsibilities: 

* Serve as a strategic partner to the business, understanding their needs and identifying IT-driven opportunities

* Act as a liaison between IT and business units to foster strong relationships and effective collaboration

* Connect business stakeholders with the right technical SMEs, leveraging IT solutions and industry best practices

* Engage in business meetings to identify process improvement opportunities

* Co-develop and maintain a unified IT-business roadmap (1, 3, and 5 years), integrating M&A considerations and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

* Lead early-stage business engagement in initiatives, defining scope, objectives, and business alignment

Advocate for strong user adoption and business process ownership through Change Management

Partner on planning and leading Quarterly IT Review meetings with IT leadership, ensuring a focus on business impact and strategic alignment

Identify and promote Value Harvesting opportunities to optimize costs, enhance growth, and maximize technology investments in collaboration with Business Process Consultants and Solution Architects

Maintain strategic business partnerships through the Business Partner Network and structured engagement cadences

Ensure clear communication of project updates and requests, emphasizing business impact and transparency

Streamline project intake while engaging Business Process Consultants, Functional Analysts, and Change Management

Drive business readiness for large-scale transformations, facilitating early engagement, impact assessments, and smooth transitions

* Support Portfolio and Project Management in upholding best practices and standardized templates to enhance execution and collaboration

Business Architecture

* Partner with the Enterprise Architect and IT architects to align Business Architecture with Enterprise Architecture

*Advocate for business capabilities, process optimization, and technology enablement to drive scalable, future-ready solutions

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Previous experience working within SAP including 1 large-scale implementation project. Other ERP experience may be considered.

Broad scope and understanding of various manufacturing business functional areas and the impact the system data that is generated has on the work

Previous experience in which business process management initiatives and promoting partnership with IT/Business units was a primary responsibility. Preference will be given to experience in a discrete manufacturing environment with variant configuration.


Additional Skills: 

* Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex, cross-functional requirements and challenges
Strong understanding of project implementation methodologies

Ability to work efficiently with team members from different geographical locations and expertise backgrounds
Ability to work effectively and independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment for this role align with those of a standard office setting. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear. This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. 

 

Travel:

This position may require travel to other Woodgrain locations, expected travel time is 15%.
