Job Summary:
The SAP Basis Administrator supports the stability, performance, and security of the SAP landscape at Woodgrain. This role will help to manage installations, configurations, upgrades, and daily operations across all environments. The SAP Basis Administrator will collaborate with the Infrastructure, Applications, and Security teams to ensure high system availability, resolution of technical issues, and optimization of the SAP environment to meet business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibilty where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Set strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.
- Implement, optimize, migrate SAP systems from on-premise to cloud. Perform maintenance.
- Design SAP Single Sign On (SSO 3.0) and configured the Single Sign On (SSO) in different scenarios.
- Configure Identity Management (IDM)
- Perform SAP Router Administration
- Install, update, upgrade, and tune parameter in BOBJ Server
- Administration of technical SAP to include updating/upgrading Kernel, license administration, configured RFC connection.
- Archiving technical configuration
- Applying patches and plug-ins using SPAM and SAINT
- Troubleshooting SAP (ABAP dump analysis, performance tuning)
- Design and implement SAP disaster recovery strategies
- Prepare comprehensive client-specific documentation regarding system maintenance, installation, and configuration
- Recommend, lead, and own the SAP upgrade projects.
Requirements:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Have assisted in at least 3 full cycle SAP implementations.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
- Strong understanding of leading SAP upgrade projects.
- Must be able to set and meet deadlines.
