PAY: $20.25
SHIFT: Monday- Friday 3pm -11:30pm (2nd shift) 
 

PRIMARY ROLE: The Painter is responsible for pre-finishing doors, using paints or stains in accordance with customer specifications and established company quality standards.

 

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

•    Inspects doors for defects and irregularities prior to painting and/or staining
•    Provides workload guidance to fellow employees to ensure proper flow and safe operations
•    Paints and/or stains doors in accordance with product manufacturer and company guidelines
•    Inspects all finished products for defects/irregularities and correct as necessary
•    Maintains shop inventory and report discrepancies to Inventory Control Specialist
•    Maintains a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety
•    Other duties as described by manager

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education / Experience/Certification
•    High school diploma or GED and 0 - 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience
•    Familiarity with door components, finishing products and assembly techniques
•    Ability to use manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)
•    Forklift certification (depending upon branch requirements)
•    Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical production environment, this person is expected to be on and work in the distribution/manufacturing floor/environment approximately 100% of the time. There is exposure to operating machinery and a manufacturing environment. Must be able to withstand frequent exposure to a hot, cold/wet environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 45 pounds. This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work. Travel required up to 75% to all production sites within the division.
