The Forklift Driver is responsible for assisting in warehouse area to meet production needs. This position is expected load and unload doors and move them with a forklift, clean up area, and ensure that parts meet quality specifications.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Closely inspecting material and removing material that does not meet specified quality standards
  • Following production schedule and producing material to the required specifications
  • Read and understand the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and standard operating procedures related to and posted near the area
  • Complete safety orientation training, observe all safety policies and procedures, including use of required protective equipment (PPE)
  • Receive and Maintain Forklift Certification
  • Operate Forklift

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
  • Actively participating in work-area improvements
  • Assisting other work areas as necessary

Education/Experience/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous work experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment
  • Attention to detail

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and hear or talk
  • Regular bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, turning, and walking
  • Frequently required to stand for long periods
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception

 

Working Environment:

  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level is moderate to high
  • Hot to cold temperatures and dust
