Starting Salary: $19.20-$22.00hr depending on experience
Employmen Type: Hourly Fulltime
Work Enviroment: Monday thru Thursday 7:00am till 4:00pm Friday 6:00am till 12:00pm times my vary.
Job Summary:
The objective of the Maintenance Assistant is to support the maintenance team by assisting with general repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and machinery. This role ensures that the work environment remains safe and productive while gaining hands-on experience in industrial maintenance. The Maintenance Assistant reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilites:
The Maintenance Assistant assist the maintenance team with general repairs and servicing of equipment.which includes but is not limited too:
· Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision, including cleaning, lubrication, and part
replacement.
- Follow all company safety and quality guidelines.
- Assist with inventorying and organizing maintenance supplies and tools.
- Support scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirments:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Some experience or familiarity with basic mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical maintenance preferred.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a maintenance role.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Additional Skills:
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pysical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
Travel: This positon does not require traveling.
