Starting Salary: $135,000 - $165,000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary:

The Corporate HR Director of Technology is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of HR information systems that support the organization’s workforce and contribute to the overall success of the company. It is critical that the HR Director of Technology has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HR information systems including knowledge and understanding of:

(1) essential system functions (i.e., acquisition, deployment, and management of technology resources and services)

(2) development and evolution of infrastructures and systems for use within the company’s processes. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, leadership, relationship building, a deep understanding of HR processes, and the ability to manage a diverse team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Lead the implementation and integration of HR Information System solutions by partnering with IT and HR teams

* Conduct business requirements gathering to intake and prioritize projects; while ensuring they align with the HR IT strategy and support the overall company objectives

* Coordinate with various departments and leadership on system activities and best practice solutions (i.e., payroll manager, CFO, Accounting, HR Directors, etc.)

* Provide technical and managerial mentoring and support to a team of analysts, support services manager, and support specialists

* Oversee the management and integrity of HR related data, while maintaining compliance and accuracy

* Evaluate processes and technology to identify potential opportunities for enhancements that increase automation and efficiency

* Leverage data analytics to provide insights and recommendations that aide in strategic decision-making for HR

* Partner with the IT Security and Risk Management departments to maintain robust security measures that safeguard sensitive personnel data.

* Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors, to include Divisional VPs, technology vendors, HR teams, and system users

 

Requirements:

* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or other related field.

* At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position overseeing an HR Information Systems team for a larger organization.

* Previous experience with a Tier 1 HR/Payroll Information System (ex. SAP HCM, SAP Payroll, ADP, SuccessFactors, Workday)

* Strong understanding and knowledge of HR processes, data management, and compliance

* Excellent project management skills with experience of successful implementation projects, while in a similar role

 

Additional Skills:

* Strong understanding of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions

* Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills to be leveraged across virtual platforms and in-person

* Ability to evaluate business users needs and translate back into the system to evaluate product offering possibilities and improvement to processes

* Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to push, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. 

 

Travel:

This position may require travel to other Woodgrain locations, estimated travel up to 15%.
