Job Summary:

 

Procurement/Storeroom Clerks are responsible for goods issued, receiving, shipping, and backup for the storeroom MRO Buyer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Goods issue checked out materials daily utilizing SAP program
  • Unpack and check in freight delivered by UPS and other delivering carriers throughout each day, comparing packing slip to what is listed on purchase order and making notations for all discrepancies.
  • Check freight slips against materials being delivered; note any damage or shortages on the freight bill.
  • Accurately enter received materials/supplies/products into SAP.
  • Stock parts and supplies in their properly designated area or shelf location.
  • Scan all receiving documentation and attach to each individual purchase order in SAP.
  • Resolve purchase order or receiving issues utilizing SAP Opentext program.
  • Pickup parts and supplies locally when required.
  • Prepare UPS, Fed-Ex, and LTL freight for shipment (such as items being sent in for repair, samples being sent for the sales department, etc.)
  • Reorganize storeroom items when needed, consisting of moving product, adding or removing shelf’s as directed by MRO Buyer.
  • Perform revolving physical inventory of storeroom materials when required by the MRO Buyer.
  • Basic knowledge of stocked items to be maintained and purchased.
  • Perform MRO buyers duties in their absence.
  • Procure maintenance and repair item’s needed in maintaining efficient operation of the plant in absence of the MRO Buyer.
  • Manage storeroom parts room; ordering assigned materials and items when needed and expedite in a timely manner as to not interrupt the normal production of this facility, in the absence of the MRO Buyer.
  • Expedite parts and supplies that are not readily available, in the absence of the MRO Buyer.
  • Acquire parts locally when needed, in absence of the MRO Buyer.
  • Input of accurate data in SAP is essential.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D and equivalent college degree experience in purchasing
  • Knowledge of inventory control
  • Basic shipping and receiving knowledge
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work with others
  • SAP experience

  • Hearing: must be able to hear clearly all verbal communication, sounds, and horns, 100% of the workday
  • Mobility: Stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and grip, feel and reach with hands and arms, stoop, twist, and bend 20% of their work schedule
  • The employee is frequently required to clearly communicate written and verbally 100% of the workday
  • The employee must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, and/or up to 25lbs frequently, between ground and shoulder level during their daily work schedule
  • Moving mechanical parts, machines, and vehicles
  • The purchasing environment is small, and the employee must be able to work in close proximity with other co-workers
  • The manufacturing environment noise level is generally loud and must wear proper PPE
  • Employees are regularly exposed to drafts, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures
