Starting Salary: $17.00

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Environment:  Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with OT as required

 

Job Summary:

 

The Lamination Operator takes ownership of their designated machine center.  They add value by leading their team to achieve quality and quantity production goals in a safe manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and comply with OSHA guidelines
  • Set up machinery in a reasonable time and complete change overs as needed
  • Perform basic maintenance and TPMs on machinery
  • Support other machine centers within the department as needed
  • Ability to read specs and measurements
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery in order to reduce downtime
  • Lean quality aspect of product in order to reduce waste
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Operate machine at 12,000 BF per day
  • Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items for machine centers in a safe manner
  • Communicate with material handlers and production leads when materials are ready to move
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks to keep tools, equipment, and workstations cleaned, organized and safe

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior machine operation experience
  • Basic math skills (add/subtract/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators)
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions including safety rules, operating procedures, spec sheets and material identification

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly throughout the day
  • Regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Regular bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, and turning
  • Frequently required to stand (up to 10 hours) and walk
  • Noise level is usually moderate
  • Exposure to head and cold extremes at times
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous production areas (heavy equipment traffic, slip/trip hazards, airborne dust/debris, etc)
