Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with PLC experience to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and automated equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and controls
- Diagnose electrical and control system issues using schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools
- Work with PLC-controlled machinery, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and making minor program or logic adjustments as needed
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical and automation systems
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and PLC documentation
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards
- Document repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience to include mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems
- Ability to use and understand precision measuring tools and equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures
- Troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 35bs throughout the day
- Regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Regular bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, and turning
- Frequently required to stand (up to 10 hours) and walk
- Noise level is usually moderate
- Exposure to head and cold extremes at times
- Exposure to potentially hazardous production areas (heavy equipment traffic, slip/trip hazards, airborne dust/debris, etc)
