Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Tech provides support for the department by maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and machinery. This position supports the manufacturing operations to ensure the equipment is running properly and efficiently, drives and helps sustain continuous improvement, and promotes safe work practices.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Perform maintenance and inspections on all types of production equipment with limited supervision.
•    Ensure that equipment is operating at optimal efficiency and meeting quality standards.
•    Perform scheduled safety inspections throughout the department.
•    Complete all assigned work orders on-time and 100% complete.
•    Complete all project work on-time and 100% complete.
•    Provide rapid resolution of unplanned downtime events.
•    Participate in developing preventative maintenance tasks for equipment.
•    Provide mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance to equipment as needed.
•    Enter all maintenance work in CMMS.
•    Participate in all scheduled meetings.
•    Participate in root cause analysis.
•    Assist in ordering, inventorying, and storing of maintenance parts and supplies.
•    Keep maintenance tools, parts, and supplies in good working order and secure.
•    Partner with production to meet all plant goals.
•    Foster positive relationships between maintenance and other departments.
•    Maintain a constant presence in the production area. 
•    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.  
•    Provide continuous feedback on needs to leadership.
•    Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
•    Maintain a clean and safe work area.
•    Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
•    5+ years of previous industrial maintenance to include mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
•    Ability to use and understand precision measuring tools and equipment, safe use of hand and power tools.
•    Troubleshooting/diagnostic skills required.
•    Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for long periods during a shift.

•    The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.
•    Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
•    High level attention to detail.
•    Experience using CMMS.
•    Experience using root cause analysis.

 

Physical Demands:
This person is expected to perform work on the manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. 
This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
