Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Doors Production Support team member to assist in various production functions throughout the Doors Department. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of interior doors. Duties may rotate throughout the workday and vary based on departmental needs.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to safety, quality, teamwork, and productivity while contributing to the overall output of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Replenish staging areas with raw materials for door construction, including sizing cardboard filler materials and organizing stiles and rails.
- Flip door skins and prepare materials according to order specifications.
- Assemble door components to build interior doors, including feeding and offloading production lines.
- Move finished door stacks to and from hydraulic press systems and queue holding areas.
- Assist machine center operators by feeding and offloading doors in equipment such as sizers, routers, and paint booths.
- Verify door quality throughout the production process and identify defects.
- Notify operators, supervisors, or managers of quality concerns immediately.
- Package finished doors, including plastic wrapping, corner protection, banding, and completing appropriate documentation.
- Perform data entry and order processing in SAP.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in alignment with 5S principles.
- Follow all safety policies, including proper PPE usage and entanglement policy compliance.
- Demonstrate flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support department goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 90 days to 1 year of related experience and/or on-the-job training preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, close-proximity manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
Travel: This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels requiring proper PPE.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift; use hands to handle, grip, and reach; stoop and bend; and communicate verbally. The employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
