Work Environment: Monday through Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays as needed
Job Summary:
This position rotates production support job duties throughout the Doors department as needed. Job duties may rotate throughout the workday and/or vary from one day to the next.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Layup Functions
- Replenish staging areas of raw materials for door construction including sizing cardboard filler materials, flipping door skins, organizing stiles and rails by size.
- Stage materials for orders based on order specifications.
- Assemble door parts to create interior doors including feeding, offloading, and building.
- Move finished door stacks from assembly area into hydraulic press systems.
- Move door stacks from hydraulic press system into queue holding areas.
Machine Center Functions
- Assist operator by feeding and/or offloading interior doors in machine centers such as sizer, router, paint booth, etc.
Other Functions
- Verify quality of doors throughout the process.
- Notify operator, supervisor and/or manager of any defects as identified.
- Package finished doors including plastic wrap, corner protection, banding and appropriate documentation.
- Data entry and order processing into the SAP system.
- Provide individual contribution to the overall output of the entire Doors Dept.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School/GED and minimum 90 days to 1 year related experience and/or on-the-job training
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work well with others in a close environment

- Stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and grip, feel and reach with hands and arms, stoop and bend, 100% of their work schedule.
- The employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and hear clearly.
- The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently during their daily work schedule.
- Moving mechanical parts, machines and vehicles.
- Layup area requires many associates in one area, therefore the employee must be able to work in close proximity with other co-workers.
- The manufacturing environment noise level is generally loud and must wear proper PPE.
- Employees are regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
