Starting Salary: $16.00 per hr
Employment Type: Hourly FT
Work Environment: Mon - Thurs 5:00a - 3:30p, Fridays and Saturdays as needed for OT.

Job Summary:
The objective of the Forklift Operator is to operate a forklift vehicle for the purpose of moving, stacking, and staging material for shipment. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•  Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner according to company guidelines.
•   Inspects and records maintenance on vehicle at the beginning and end of shift.
•   Bands and wraps pallets as required.
•   Verifies correct tag is placed on pallet.
•   Moves and stacks material in designated warehouse locations.
•   Moves racks as needed.
•   Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
•   Complies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards.

Requirements:
•  High School Diploma or equivalent.
•  Must be SAFETY minded while working in a production environment.
•  Forklift Certification required.

Additional Skills:
Ability to perform routine tasks with periods of focused concentration.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
