Starting Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary
Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 days remote)

Job Summary:

The IT SAP Variant Configuration Analyst is responsible for system development, project management, and maintain product options for business users. This position confers with personnel of organizational units to analyze current procedures and work to identify the problem by learning the specific input and outputs required.   


Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Develop detailed description of user needs, program functions, and the steps required to modify computer programs to support needs
  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
  • Maintain existing product knowledge using tools provided within current systems; will also be expected to maintain a high level of proficiency to add knowledge
  • Study exiting information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new processes to improve production or workflow as required
  • Prepare workflow charts/diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs
  • Prepare and disseminate technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of systems implementations

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of SAP related experience in Variant Configuration (other ERP experience may be considered).
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing and/or distribution industry, with a strong understanding of Production Planning (PP) and/or Warehouse Management (WM).
  • Strong understanding of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to communicate with business users to evaluate needs and translate back into the system to evaluate product offering possibilities. 

 

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex, cross-functional requirements and challenges
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables 
  • Ability to work efficiently with team members from different geographical locations and expertise backgrounds
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to a strong work ethic and coordinating within a rapidly changing environment and handling unexpected solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment for this role align with those of a standard office setting. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear. This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. 

 

Travel:

This position may require travel to other Woodgrain locations, expected travel time is <5%.
