Job Summary:
The IT Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, and delivery of modern enterprise analytics capabilities across Woodgrain. This role drives the transformation from traditional reporting platforms (SAP BW) to a cloud-based, scalable data and analytics ecosystem leveraging SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Business Data Cloud Cockpit, while integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and third-party platforms. Thie BI Manager ensures that enterprise data is trusted, governed, and transformed into actionable insights that support executive decision-making and operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the enterprise BI and data strategy aligned with business objectives, digital transformation initiatives, and long-term SAP/S/4HANA architecture. Lead modernization efforts, including the transition from SAP BW to SAP Datasphere, while ensuring scalable, high-performing, and simplified analytics environments
- Establish and maintain enterprise data governance, data quality, and master data standards across SAP and non-SAP systems to support accurate, consistent, and trusted reporting and analytics
- Lead the delivery and evolution of enterprise analytics capabilities, including dashboards, KPIs, self-service reporting, predictive analytics, AI/ML enablement, intelligent data modeling, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, and related technologies
- Own and oversee the enterprise BI technology stack, integrations, and platform performance, including SAP Datasphere, SAC, SAP Business Data Cloud Cockpit, legacy SAP BW environments, and integrations with S/4HANA, CPI/BTP, cloud platforms, SQL databases, and third-party systems
- Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, enterprise architecture, and IT teams to prioritize BI initiatives, support acquisition integration efforts, and provide strategic guidance for data-driven decision-making and operational improvements
- Lead communication, collaboration, and change management activities related to BI transformation, analytics modernization, and AI adoption across the organization
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing BI and analytics team by establishing clear goals, promoting innovation and accountability, supporting cross-training and succession planning, and ensuring readiness to support modern SAP data platforms and advanced analytics capabilities
- Manage BI operational performance, budgets, vendor/platform investments, and delivery metrics to ensure system stability, data accuracy, cost effectiveness, and successful execution of enterprise analytics initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related disciplines
- Proven success leading enterprise BI and data transformation initiatives, including migration from SAP BW to SAP Datasphere or similar modern SAP data platforms
- Strong expertise with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW, and SAP Business Objects, including data modeling, reporting, dashboards, planning, and legacy platform transition support
- Experience integrating SAP environments with enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, SQL databases, and third-party systems
- Functional understanding of key SAP modules, including FI, SD, MM, PP, and HR, along with related data structures

- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and modern enterprise data platform design
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes
- Proven ability to lead large-scale technology transformations, platform migrations, and organizational change initiatives
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience managing the full software lifecycle, including implementation, modernization, migration, and decommissioning activities
- Strong commitment to quality, data integrity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
Travel:
This position may require travel to other Woodgrain locations, expected travel time is 15%.
