Compensation: Starting Salary is $57,000 a year minumum, depending on experience.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with an 1 hour lunch.

Location: 1295 Progress Center Ave., Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Industry: Transportation Fleet Compliance

 

Under direction of the Transportation division HR Manager,  the HR Generalist will participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Assist in Planning, developing, and coordinating the implementation of training programs. Fulfill HR duties as assigned. 

 

Assignments may include but not limited to:

    • Driver Payroll and Resolution of payroll issues
    • Completing Verification of Employment forms
    • Recruiting, (Job posting, interview scheduling, onboarding new employees, hiring events etc.)
    • New employee onboarding and orientation (as it relates to Benefits, WorkForce)
    • Building and/or enhancing company culture,
    • Coordinating and/or implementing rewards programs program
    • Assist in employee relations issues
    • Communicate with area personnel, associates, and management with high professionalism and confidentiality.
    • Counsel associates and managers concerning company policies and procedures
    • Assist in coordinating recruitment efforts when needed, including updating job descriptions and job postings, screening candidates, interviewing, and on-boarding.
    • Conduct New Hire Orientations and ensure all employment documents are current and complete.
    • Coordinate and Participate in employee relations iniatives and events
    • Benefits and Woodgrain systems overview (Workforce, SuccessFactors, Time Entry, PTO, Employee dashboard, and FMLA/LOA etc)
    • Annual Scholarship program

    • HR Reporting for Transportation VP and HR Manager

    • Interpret policies and procedures to employees and managers, guide staff in accordance with organizational policies. 

    • Promote HR programs, policies and procedures to create an efficient and inclusive workplace.

    • Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.

    • Oversee accurate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports. Conduct Internal HR audits (personnel files).

    • Maintain FMCSA/DOT driver compliance with federal and state regulations.   

    • Complete systems termination process in SuccessFactors and Solarwinds and filing resignation letters in personel file

    • Manage Return-to-Work (RTW) cases and details:FMLA, STD, LOA Worker Injury (coordinating drug screen, collecting required documentation, and scheduling Fit for Duty physicals)

    • Manage and maintain driver FMCSA Driver Qualification files.

    • Complete DOT previous employment verifications and safety performance history forms.

    • Oversee DOT/FMCSA drug and alcohol program – (post accident and post incident and random screening).

    • Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Experience with SuccessFactors, WorkForce, SAP, Applicant Tracking System a plus
    • Experience in DOT/FMCSA Driver compliance a plus
