Starting Salary: $15.00 - 17.00 Hourly (Depending on experience)

Work Environment: In-Person, Monday through Friday 6AM-finished


Job Summary:
As an Assembler II, you will be responsible for assembling components and finished millwork products, including interior and exterior door units. This hands-on role involves reading work tickets, operating woodworking machinery, and ensuring products meet quality standards before shipment. You'll work with a variety of hand and power tools to prepare, modify, and inspect wood-based products throughout the assembly process.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units by reading and interpreting job tickets and blueprints.
  • Operate woodworking machinery including chop saws, table saws, routers, and pneumatic tools to machine and modify products.
  • Prepare completed products for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, stickers, and labels as needed.
  • Inspect the quality and accuracy of the product throughout each stage of the assembly process.
  • Repair and/or disassemble returned or defective millwork to prepare it for resale or restocking.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning, oiling, calibrating machines, checking tool accuracy, and reporting malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, securing tools, equipment, and materials appropriately.
  • Participate in all safety trainings and meetings, and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Willing and able to be cross-trained across various workstations and tools as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or training in woodworking, carpentry, or millwork assembly; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using hand and power tools such as chop saws, table saws, rip saws, routers, drills, screw guns, hammers, and pneumatic nail guns
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Forklift certification may be required depending on branch location
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions in various formats (written, verbal, diagrams, or schedules)
  • Familiarity with branch and industry standards for measuring, identifying, repairing, and modifying wood products
