Job Summary:

The Lead Electrician will be the signing journeyman for facility, lead others with project and general TPM of equipment, willing to be accessible during off shift for electrical failures. Reports to and works closely with the Maintenance Manager. Must keep facility electrical standards and follow National Electrical Code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety is the priority
  • Reports to and works closely with the facility maintenance manager.
  • Good understanding of National Electric Code.
  • Ability to be Signing Journeymen for facility.
  • Ability to manage crews during projects and in daily tasks.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually to accomplish projects.
  • Be able to manage several projects with different time lines.
  • Understanding of Siemens PLC and HMI software.
  • Ability to learn Siemens, Direct Logic, Workshop, Allen-Bradley, and other PLC software packages to maintain equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Idaho Licensed Journeymen Electrician.
  • Experienced with Industrial Control and Motor circuits.
  • Good experience with electrical troubleshooting and service of equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting (Siemens software is preferred). General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Available during off shift hours when failures occur
  • Ability to work weekends.

Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
