Job Summary:
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within the Corporate Division. This role encompasses a broad range of professional accounting duties and plays a critical role in the financial management of the organization. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the financial activities of the Corporate Division. The Corporate Accounting Manager will lead the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements, accounting records, and reports. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning. The position also serves as a key business partner, providing accurate and timely financial data to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Corporate Accounting Manager is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and compliance activities. This role requires expert-level knowledge of accounting principles and practices and plays a vital role in achieving the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of the General Ledger, including reconciliations and adjustments
- Deliver comprehensive financial reporting and provide strategic support to management
- Uphold standard accounting practices and implement updates to align with evolving regulations and business needs
- Support the external audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Champion the standardization of financial reporting and processes across the organization to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Prepare and submit bank covenant compliance reports in accordance with lending agreements
- Contribute to the development and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements to support strategic planning
- Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and tasks, meeting deadlines set by the Corporate Division Controller
- Serve as a key finance representative in ERP system implementations, providing insights into business processes and financial requirements
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to the Corporate Accounting team
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance and accountability
- Proactively seek opportunities for growth and take initiative in expanding responsibilities
- Leverage expertise and experience to continuously improve accounting practices and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Preference will be given to master’s degree
- A CPA certification is required, or proof of candidacy will be considered with completion in first 12 months of hire
- At least 5 years of experience in a finance role, precious accounting experience is preferred
- Must have a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements
- Previous experience working within SAP is preferred. Other ERP systems will be considered.

- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills to be leveraged across virtual platforms and in-person
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of process improvement competencies and skills
- Ability to complete work with an understanding for larger objectives in mind
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

The physical demands and work environment for this role align with those of a standard office setting. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear. This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
Travel:
This position may require travel to other Woodgrain locations, estimated travel time is <10%.
