PRIMARY ROLE

Position Summary

 

The Senior Inside Sales Representative will demonstrate a mastery of all inside sales processes and lead others on the team in problem solving.  In addition, they will take initiative on clearing up short shipped, delivery due, and other reports.  They will also take the lead on key retailers and national accounts.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

Main Responsibilities Essential Tasks

 

  • Manage Key retailers and national accounts in addition to sales territories.
  • Take on the primary responsibility for setting up new sku’s with Master Data.
  • Serve as the clear product experts on specialty products (i.e. composite decking, doors, stair parts).
  • Help with training of newly hired trainees.
  • Serve as a quality control checkpoint on orders for newer reps.
  • Initiate investigation and cleanup of the Delivery Due list, Short Shipped, Unresolved Deductions, Pending Returns.
  • Assist with moving excess inventory and helping newer reps research and plan.
  • Also includes all other duties of an inside sales rep.

Education and Experience

Skills and Abilities

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 
  • Minimum 1 year of exceptional work in the inside sales role at Woodgrain.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn ERP and CRM software.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.                                                  
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple long-term projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard business documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Equipment & Machinery

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit and hear. 
  • Able to use hands and fingers on a (computer) keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 5 pounds at times.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
  • The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
  • Occasional travel required.
