Starting Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 (depending on experience)

Work Environment: In-Person, Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm

Job Summary: 
The Credit Specialist 2 is responsible for a full scope of services for assigned accounts to include collections, payments, document maintenance, deductions, and investigation to resolve disputes. This position handles credit arrangements and special payment terms for customers of Woodgrain.   

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Timely identify and take action to collect aging invoices
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with the customer contact and the internal Woodgrain locations
  • Solve problems and analyze issues through asking the right questions and collecting the required data from multiple sources
  • Research discrepancies on the A/R to find problems and reach resolutions
  • Review credit holds and release as appropriate


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, experience in previous finance role preferred
  • Proficient computer and 10 key operation skills (at least be able to type 45 WPM)
  • Participation in a revolving, on-call schedule to release orders as necessary


Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. 
  • Reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures
  • Excellent customer service and clerical skills 
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to effective communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment for this role align with those of a standard office setting. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear. This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. 

 

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
