Gross Monthly Salary: PHP 65,000 - PHP 85,000 (depending on experience)

Work Arrangement: Office Based

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm to 7:00am (Philippine Time)

Job Summary:

The SAP Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting software solutions within Woodgrain's SAP landscape. This role develops enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, workflows, and custom applications using SAP technologies including ABAP, Fiori, cloud, and mobile development platforms. The developer participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Working closely with functional analysts, business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners, the SAP Developer translates business requirements into scalable technical solutions that improve business processes and support Woodgrain's enterprise systems. The role contributes to system performance, maintainability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with development standards, security requirements, and enterprise architecture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze functional business requirements and translate them into technical designs and development specifications.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain SAP applications, enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and custom programs.
• Develop software solutions using SAP technologies including ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, Fiori, cloud technologies, and mobile applications as appropriate.
• Create and support integrations between SAP and external systems through interfaces, APIs, RFCs, IDocs, and web services.
• Develop realistic work estimates and participate in project planning to support successful project execution.
• Perform unit testing, support system integration testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
• Optimize application performance through code analysis, tuning, and adherence to SAP development standards.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, project managers, infrastructure teams, and business users throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, interface documentation, and operational support procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development standards, security practices, and software quality.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes and improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay current on SAP technologies and recommend improvements that align with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong technical aptitude supported by a broad understanding of general IT principles and practices.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical IT operations role, demonstrating hands-on expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience developing applications within SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA environments.

  • Function Modules
  • Object-Oriented ABAP
  • Module Pool Programming
• Experience developing SAP enhancements using User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, and related extension techniques.
• Experience developing SAP forms using Adobe Forms, SmartForms, or SAPscript.
• Experience troubleshooting SAP applications and implementing SAP OSS Notes.Experienced in OSS note implementation and SAP system troubleshooting.

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile or SAP ASAP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with little to no issue dealing with multiple tasks and projects at one time
• Ability to work efficiently with team members from different geographical locations and expertise backgrounds

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to press, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.  

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
